SCHOOL JOURNEY
In the Rede Asta Artisan Business School journey for the Eletrobras cohort, starting in April, students join an entrepreneurial network with access to classes on Digital Literacy, Acceleration, Product Design, and the Digital Market, all with guidance from a dedicated class mentor.
They will also have a space for dialogue to work on self-awareness, self-esteem, and finding solutions to various challenges in the Artisan Circle.
Each student who meets the expected performance requirements in class will receive a monthly stipend of R$100.00 for five months during the learning journey.
To participate in the Eletrobras cohort, each seamstress or artisan must have time availability (about half an hour per day), internet access, and a smartphone. Classes will be held online, making internet access essential.
At the end of the course in August, in addition to certification, students will receive nine months of consulting to sell their products on Instagram and set up their online stores on Rede Asta's Pertinho de Casa platform. They will also be able to join a Telegram group to receive information, content, tips, and access to new opportunities.
OUR OBJECTIVES
The purpose of the Eletrobras cohort course at the Rede Asta Artisan Business School is to support 72 handmade professionals, seamstresses, and artisans in achieving financial sustainability and success in their small businesses.
They are primarily from neighborhoods and communities in the central region of Rio de Janeiro.
The course curriculum, which makes up the School Journey, covers Digital Literacy (12 hours), Acceleration Journey (40 hours), Product Design (20 hours), the Artisan Circle, Digital Market, and Sales Monitoring, totaling 14 months of development for participants.
A mentor will support students throughout the learning process, which includes theoretical classes, plenty of interaction, and content sharing. The mentor will also provide assistance in accessing the digital platforms where activities take place, helping to overcome technological barriers.
To receive the stipends, participants must meet the expected performance goals for each stage, which will be announced at the beginning of the process. Upon completing the course, they will receive a digital certificate and an invitation to join a Telegram group to continue their journey.

1) How do I participate in the Rede Asta Artisan Business School?
You need to: 1. Read the selection notice; 2. Fill out the application form; 3. Participate in the selection workshop; 4. Submit your workshop activity on time; 5. Wait for the results.
2) Do I need to pay any fees to participate in the Rede Asta Artisan Business School?
No. At no point during the project will you be charged any fees to participate in the School.
3) What will I learn at the Rede ASTA Artisan Business School?
The Artisan Business School curriculum focuses on daily management and business development, including training on digital literacy, business model canvases, the digital market, and other available content.
4) What are the benefits of participating in the Rede ASTA Artisan Business School?
You will have access to a group of women to share experiences and insights about the entrepreneurial journey, and the support of a mentor throughout the entire Rede Asta Artisan Business School process. You will gain learning experiences that will help you boost your business, be able to put all the content presented in the school into practice in your daily business operations, and gain access to various digital market strategies.
5) How much time do I need to dedicate to the daily activities of the Rede Asta Artisan Business School?
About 3 hours per week, or less than half an hour a day, distributed across live or recorded content. You can work at your own pace.
6) What do I need to get the most out of my experience at the Rede Asta Artisan Business School?
A mobile phone and/or computer with internet access and an average availability of 30 minutes per day or 3 hours per week.
7) What is the communication channel for the group?
The group communicates with the Artisan Business School mentor through a Telegram group and private messages.
8) What should I do if I can't attend the live classes?
To get the most out of the content and build a support network, we encourage students to attend live activities whenever possible. If you are unable to attend, a link to the class recording will be made available the following day.
9) Why do I need to evaluate the class?
Evaluations are anonymous and help us improve the experience of participating in the School. Information regarding content and relationships is confidential and accessible only to the School's management and the Rede Asta Board of Directors. Therefore, it is extremely important that everyone evaluates the classes after attending live or watching the recording.
10) What is the coordinator's role?
The pedagogical coordinator assists in training the monitor, oversees actions with the Manager of the Artisans' Business School, monitors form completion, manages relationships with project and impact management regarding the class, and sends the list of students with progress to be used for payment.
11) What is the monitor's role?
The monitor is the content facilitator. They are responsible for exchanging information with students about each week's content, answering questions, supporting the completion of activities, and sharing information to ensure the best use of the journey's content from start to graduation. They also send the necessary data collection links for each stage of the journey and clarify any questions regarding the steps for their class.
12) Do students enrolled in the Journey need to pass an assessment to receive certification?
No. At the Rede Asta Artisans' Business School, we use a methodology that considers assessment to be based on the mutual commitment established between the student and the monitors through the use of the presented content. Students are primarily responsible for their own self-assessment, so that by the end, they can observe the improvements and gains in their personal and professional lives achieved upon completing each journey.

14) I have previously enrolled in a school journey but did not participate; do I need to enroll again?
Yes, because this is a new project with new rules and, therefore, a new selection process.
15) I have already enrolled in and completed a school program before; can I enroll again?
Yes, since this is a new project, you are welcome to participate again.
16) Can I be dismissed from the Rede Asta Artisans Business School? What are the grounds for dismissal?
Yes. The grounds for dismissal are:
A) Personal request from the student to withdraw; B) Failure to respond to the mentor's attempts to assist with the initial login to the Asta Platform; C) Failure to complete the activities presented on the Asta platform, failure to respond to the mentor's outreach, and failure to commit to a plan to catch up on Asta platform activities, whereby the mentor sends a message and waits up to 24 hours for a response from the student before sending a formal dismissal notice; D) Providing false information regarding personal, residential, and/or banking data; E) Any form of ethical or moral disrespect, including verbal, written, or psychological abuse toward classmates and/or the Rede Asta relationship team.
17) Will I receive any financial assistance?
Yes. There is a scholarship available for students who meet the minimum progress requirements on the Asta platform during the payment period.
18) How much is the scholarship?
For every month in the School that you achieve performance above the minimum required for the period, you will be entitled to a R$100.00 (one hundred reais) stipend in the form of a scholarship.
19) How do I receive the scholarship?
Scholarships are paid via an Impact Bank account; opening an account with this bank is a mandatory requirement for receiving scholarships at the Rede Asta Artisans Business School.
20) Will I have access to the payment schedule so I can plan how to use these funds?
Yes, the projected payment calendar is provided below:
21) What are the reasons my scholarship payment might be delayed?
Payment dates are subject to change for the following reasons: ● If the artisan's documentation is not submitted to the project assistant by the required and communicated deadline; ● Issues related to the banking system or the partner bank's clearing system; ● Technical issues exporting the student's progress report within the Asta Platform, among others.
22) If I don't meet the necessary criteria to receive the scholarship, do I lose my spot? No! However, you will not receive the scholarship payment retroactively, and your participation in other project processes that may arise throughout the journey and are linked to your progress could be compromised.
23) If I update my late activities, will I receive the scholarship retroactively?
No. Scholarship payments are strictly tied to the project period outlined in item 19.
24) I didn't participate in the selection phase; can I still sign up?
No. This School cohort uses a new enrollment methodology and is exclusive to women who participated in the selection phase and its subsequent stages.
25) How long will the cohort's journey last?
5 months (Starting in April 2022 and graduating in September 2022)
26) What do I need to do to receive the scholarship?
Once selected during the workshop phase: 1. Complete the enrollment agreement and all necessary documents during the registration stage; 2. Open a free account with Impact Bank, our partner institution responsible for scholarship payments; 3. Complete the activities on the Asta Platform, where you will watch the courses, and meet the minimum expected progress for the period; 4. Send the monthly payment receipts to the Rede Asta financial analyst during the requested periods.
27) Does the course offer a certificate?
Yes. Students who complete the required attendance hours will participate in a graduation ceremony and receive a certificate. For the time being, due to the pandemic, the closing event will be held online and the certificate will be digital.
28) Does the group disband after the course?
Not necessarily. Students will be invited to join a Telegram network for artisans and seamstresses who have attended other School courses, created by Rede Asta. The group serves as a space for sharing content, information, new training opportunities, and event and fair calendars, as well as a place for professionals to exchange ideas and support one another.
